Bourne lands trio on Cape League All-Stars
The Cape Cod Baseball League's Western Division-leading Bourne Braves placed three players on the All-Star team for Saturday's game at McKeon Field in Hyannis.
Forty-five of the nation's best college baseball stars will take the field for the league's 43rd annual All-Star Game.
Bourne's Brad Lincoln (Houston) will be the designated hitter for the West while Braves' pitchers Forrest Cory III (William & Mary) and Gib Hobson (North Carolina State) join Lincoln on the mound crew.
Lincoln is hitting .269 with four home runs and 19 RBI for the Braves.
Daniel Bard of Wareham will get the start against Jared Hughes of the Chatham A's.
Cotuit led the West with four starters plus pitcher Chris Toneguzzi. Wareham placed two starters and five reserves on the team.
Fans will be admitted to McKeon Park at 10:30 a.m. to catch batting practice, autographs and infield practice prior to the Baseball Factory Home Run Hitting Classic at 1:15 p.m. Last season, Bourne slugger Austin Easley (University of Florida) won the competition by hitting 17 homers, including nine in the finals.

The game will be televised on College Sports Television (CSTV) and also broadcast live on PIXY 103 and in streaming audio at www.capecodbaseball.org and also on
