Who’s hot on the Mariners

Harwich - Batters:
Cole Figueroa- A shoe-in for this years All-Star game in Wareham, Figueroa is currently second in the East division with a .333 average and leads the team in hits with 16. The Mariners everyday short stop had a huge night against Cotuit last week, going 4-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored.
Figueroa is also second on the team for fewest strikeouts (5) with players who’ve played more than 10 games.
Johnny Giavotella- The speedy Harahan, LA native has swiped a team-best four bases this season and is carrying a .250 average in 12 games.
In the last four games, the sometimes outfielder/catcher has gone 4-13 (.307) including a two-hit night against Cotuit last Thursday.
Giavotella is entering his junior year at New Orleans.
Chris Dominguez- The 6-foot, 5-inch newcomer to the Mariners went 6-23 (.261) in his first week on the Cape. The Miami, Florida native is currently leading the team with a .609 slugging percentage while playing four games in the outfield and two games at third base.
Dominguez has had two, two-hit games so far this season, including a 2-for-3 performance against Brewster on Saturday, where he slammed his first homerun of the season and also doubled, his third double on the season.
Pitchers:
Josh Zeid- With just over 16 innings pitched, a team high, Zeid has walked only one batter while fanning 14. He’s currently carrying a 2.20 ERA with four earned runs allowed in six games.
The 6-foot 4-inch righty from Vanderbilt last pitched on Sunday, striking out two batters in two innings while not allowing a base runner.
Evan Crawford- The Mariners reliever has been lights out so far this season, allowing just one earned run in six games pitched. He has a team-low .71 ERA and is tied for third in the league with 21 strikeouts.
Crawford also pitched during the Mariners 4-0 loss to Wareham on Sunday night. He allowed just an unearned run on two while striking out two in two innings pitched.
In just over 12 innings pitched, the junior from Auburn has given up just five hits.
Danny Farquhar- One of only three pitchers on the Mariners that have recorded a win this season, Farquhar last pitched against Cotuit on Thursday, allowing only two earned runs on six hits in more than five innings pitched.
The Pembroke Pines, Florida native is currently second on the team for starters with a 3.00 ERA. In three starts and four appearances, Farquhar is second on the team with 19 strikeouts while allowing only seven walks.
