On April 10: Bob Bigelow presents 'A Common Sense Approach to Youth Sports'

BREWSTER, Mass. -- The Brewster Recreation Department is proud to announce a special evening with former Boston Celtics player Bob Bigelow, one of the foremost authorities on youth sports. Bigelow will present “ A Common Sense Approach to Youth Sports” Wednesday, April 10 at 7 p.m. at Eddy Elementary School in Brewster. Admission is free, and child supervision during the talk will be provided by the Brewster Recreation Department.

     "The Cape League is happy to support such a worthwhile event in the town of Brewster," Cape League president Judy Walden Scarafile said. "Bob Bigelow was a speaker at Cape League seminars several years ago. His return to Cape Cod promises to be an informative and educational evening."

     Bigelow, who played for four years in the NBA, is a nationally known lecturer who speaks to communities, coaches, administrators and parents. Bigelow is the co-author of “Just Let the Kids Play,” a book that describes the systemic issues that often accompany organized youth sports and offers suggestions for positive change.
