It is hard to believe that we only have 13 games remaining in our regular season and our Friendly’s All- Star Game is this Saturday in Chatham. This is a major event for the league and we hope you will all attend. Starting with batting practice, autograph sessions, the Chatham Bars Inn Home Run Hitting Contest, and then the game, you will get to see the best of the best.

I had the honor to attend the Celebration of Life in Cotuit on Saturday for my dear friend Arnold Mycock. It may have been hot but the crowd was wonderful. I would like to thank the Kettleers’ for a job well done.

As I traveled around the Cape from field to field I sensed a great deal of pride for all the franchises and their volunteers who are performing as well as their team on the fields. And that reminds me again, to ask if you attend the games and want to help please go up to a franchise member and volunteer. You will not regret it. Thirty years ago I did this and I have been involved ever since.

The races are tight in both divisions so hold onto your seats and get ready to blast off into the playoffs.

Best of luck to all the franchises!
