GREG KING NAMED HYANNIS METS FIELD MANAGER
The Hyannis Mets have announced the hiring of new field manager Greg King for the 2004 CCBL season. King, who will be entering his eighth season as head coach at Thomas College in Waterville, Maine, has held assistant coaching positions in the Cape League with Harwich, Yarmouth-Dennis, and most recently with Cotuit in 2003.
King replaces former Mets’ head coach Keith Stohr, who departs after four seasons in Hyannis and two seasons as field manager. Stohr has been hired as a full-time scout in the Chicago Cubs’ organization. King led the Thomas College Terriers to NAIA New England titles in 2001 and 2003.
