Ashley Crosby Thanked for Many Contributions

     The Cape League honored Ashley Crosby for her many contributions working within all facets of public relations as part of pre-game ceremonies with a special presentation at Guv Fuller Field before the playoff game between the Falmouth Commodores and Wareham Gatemen.

     “On behalf of the Falmouth Commodores, Wareham Gatemen and the entire Cape League family we would like to recognize and thank Ashley Crosby for her years of service to the Cape League. Ashley Crosby is a graduate of Barnstable HS and University of Maine, Farmington and resident of Osterville. She began working for the Cape League in 2008 as an intern in the Public Relations department. That position quickly grew as Ashley’s numerous talents became evident. In 2010 Ashley was named as Special Assistant to the Commissioner, Paul Galop. These important duties have included facilitating critical functions including the Cape League’s participation in the national clearinghouse for collegiate summer baseball and player contract management".

      Ashley’s talents and responsibilities continued to grow and in 2011 she was named the Cape League’s first Director of Social Media. Since that time, she has brought he League into the “modern era” with accounts on Facebook, Twitter and her own Blog, High Heels at Home Plate . In addition her work as an official scorer, writer, editor have been invaluable.

      Once in a blue moon, someone comes along whose contributions have been so varied and so numerous, it is impossible to name them all. We know that Vanderbilt University is about to get a tremendous addition to their sports information department.

      Ashley, on behalf of the entire Cape League thank you for all you have done for this league. We wish you the best, we will miss you greatly.

      Commissioner Paul Galop and President Judy Walden Scarafile presented Ashley with a custom engraved bat from Barnstable Bat.
