Kettleers, Harbor Hawks join local cable access show

HYANNIS ---- Representatives from the Cotuit Kettleers and the Hyannis Harbor Hawks will be regularly scheduled guests on “Barnstable This Morning,” a local live community access television program.

Co-hosted by producer/host Nick Cortese and Kevin Friel, the show airs weekdays from 7:30 to 9 a.m. on Channel 18 in the mid-Cape area. The Cape League segment, slated for the 8:18 to 8:30 time slot, will begin on April 2. It will consist of phone interviews with guests from the league or local franchises.

Cotuit and Hyannis will have its own segments, usually during the second and third Friday of the month, while guests from the Cape League, such as commissioner Paul Galop, president Judy Walden Scarafile, senior vice president Jim Higgins, director of public relations/broadcasting John Garner, director of memorabilia/museum curator Dan Dunn and manager of special projects Joe Sherman, will be interviewed during other dates.

“We are absolutely thrilled with this opportunity to be on ‘Barnstable This Morning’” Scarafile said. “We have a lot of news to report on and the chance to do this on a weekly basis in this new venue is great. Also, this further strengthens our wonderful relationship with the town of Barnstable, which owns the building where our Hall of Fame is housed. This is a perfect partnership.”

The show will also air on the county community access Channel 17 during the day. Included in the Cape league segment will be pictures and video clips of game footage.
