The entire Cape Cod Baseball League family is mourning the passing of former Cape League President and Commissioner Richard "Dick" Sullivan, who died early today at age 84.

Involved in all aspects of the CCBL for more than 40 years, Sullivan was also the longtime Dean of Students of Hofstra University and Cape Cod Community College and chairman of Cape Cod & Islands March of Dimes.

Sullivan, who was inducted into Cape League Hall of Fame in 2002, was a founding member of the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce Sports Advisory Council. He was a proud graduate of North Quincy High and Springfield College and was player-coach for the World Champion Cape Cod senior softball team Cod in recent years. Deepest sympathies go out to the entire Sullivan family.
