Cape League Tryout
Spillane Field, Wareham
Sunday, 4 June 2006

Weather and Information updates
7:00 pm, Saturday 3 June 2006

The local weather forecasts are now somewhat better for tomorrow than they were earlier today. It appears that the rain may vacate our area by daybreak. We are definitely planning to proceed at Spillane Field in Wareham tomorrow, following exactly the same schedule that we had in place for today. We ask that all invited players please report to the field in Wareham.

We seem to have created some confusion as to reporting times. POSITION PLAYERS may register between 8:30 – 10:30am tomorrow. The key is to allow yourself enough time to get loose for the infield/outfield drill which will start promptly at 10:30am. PITCHERS may register at any time from 8:30 on; they will not pitch until the scrimmage starts at 11:30am. Pitchers may report at any time – we anticipate that the scrimmage will run well into the afternoon. Pitchers will pitch in the order that they register, except that we will pitch two way players first, if that is what they request.

We have made arrangements to go indoors should the weather not cooperate; however we ask that you please come to the field in Wareham, because that decision will be made at the field. The facility that we would use is The Dugout, located in East Hyannis. Directions are available on their website: www.thedugoutdawgs.com. - Once on the website, click on About Us and then on Directions. From Spillane Field, you would proceed East on Route 6 and cross over the Sagamore Bridge. Continuing on Route 6 proceed to Exit 7, Willow Street. At the bottom of the ramp, take a left turn towards Hyannis and continue on Willow Street, which will become Yarmouth Road. At the Kelly Tire shop, take a left onto Ferndoc Street and proceed through a stop sign to the end.

Please note that we do not anticipate that we will have to go indoors; however we want to be certain that we can complete the tryout tomorrow. We look forward to seeing you at Spillane Field. Thank you for your patience.
