Bishop (Arizona State University) had a key home run in the sixth inning of Game 3 to give Brewster a 2-0 lead, and his three home runs in the playoffs were the most by any Cape League player. Bishop had only one home run in 104 regular seasons at bat before providing the pop for the Whitecaps in the postseason.  After the game, he credited his teammates for putting him in a good spot to perform: “I can’t credit myself,” Bishop said. “Will Tribucher pitched an unbelievable game and we wouldn’t have been in my position if it weren’t for him, so all my teammates, I give it to them.”

Dunn (University of Maryland, College Park) finished the championship series with a .500 batting average (5-for-10) in three games, and was on base twice at the top of Brewster’s order in Game 3. Dunn’s most impressive performance came in Game 2 at Bourne, when he went 3-for-3 with 3 RBIs and a run scored. Overall, Dunn batted .306 in the postseason with 7 runs scored and 7 RBIs, and struck out only once in 36 at bats. Dunn batted .333 during the regular season.  After the game, Dunn said: “This is a great time, a great team. We had a great group of guys here.”
