Only seven players in the Cape Cod Baseball League batted over .300 this summer, with Brewster Whitecaps slugger J.C.Holt (Brewster/LSU) leading the way all season long and ending up as the 2003 Thurman Munson Batting Champion at .388. The top five hitters over .300 included Holt, Sam Fuld (Hyannis/Stanford), Warner Jones (Wareham /Vanderbuilt), Hyung Cho (Y-D/Houston) and Eric Nielsen (Cotuit/UNLV).
