Where the Stars of Tomorrow Shine Tonight!

     The steamy, hot and humid summer of 2013 is flying by as we are well beyond the halfway point. Our loyal fans continue to brave the heat as crowds attending our games continue to exceed our expectations.

     All 10 teams are posturing for hopeful playoff positions with home-field advantages within several teams grasp. The talent of our players has been what we have become accustomed to, the best of the best collegiate players nationwide! What a treat it is to watch this level of competition, for free!

     We are now planning in earnest for our annual All-Star game that will be held this Saturday, July 27 at Red Wilson Field, located at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School on Station Avenue in South Yarmouth. Game time is 4:30 p.m., preceded by the ever popular Home Run Hitting Contest, which will showcase the talents of eight sluggers. Friendly’s Ice Cream Restaurants is our keynote sponsor for this midseason classic, and we are extremely grateful for their generosity. There is a fairly accurate rumor floating around that there may be fireworks after the game at the very same location, so be sure to come out and grab a great seat for all the festivities.

     Playoffs kick off on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at sites to be determined based upon how teams finish up in the regular season. Each round is the best two of three with the winners advancing to the next round. If this year’s playoffs match last year’s unparalleled playoff excitement, the huge crowds will be in for some special and memorable moments. Keep an eye out for our playoff schedule when the teams are announced and come on out and experience the excitement and memories!
