Y-D’s pitching kept the Whitecap’s bats quiet, sitting down a combined ten and allowing just two runs on six hits in the game. After scoring a run in the second, third, and fourth, including a Noah Campbell home run, the Red Sox put up a three run sixth inning with the help of a two run homer from Patrick Bailey after a Christian Koss Single. Y-D crossed another in the eighth to put the finishing touch on the victory.

A big second and third inning from Chatham helped their winning efforts, scoring three runs each in both innings to take a 6-1 lead. Blake Sabol got things started in the second with a leadoff solo shot. The Anglers scored all three runs on three RBI singles from Drew Mendoza, Colin Simpson, and Jorge Arenas. After Chatham scored another two in the fifth, Harwich scrapped a run in the sixth and seventh inning, including a Nate Eikhoff solo home run. The eighth and ninth inning were scoreless, ending in a 8-3 win for Chatham.

Both teams mashed in the first inning, entering the second inning 3-3. Zachary Biermann hit a leadoff home run in the top of the first for the Kettleers, followed by a Duke Ellis single. Ellis was driven in by a Jonathan Robertson two run homer the next at bat. Hyannis used four hits and two errors to their advantage to tie the game up. Cotuit went on to score a couple between the second and third inning to take a 5-3 lead. They tacked another on in the fifth to make it 6-3. The Kettleers had their second three run inning in the eighth to increase their lead to 9-3. Hyannis’ Pedro Pages hit a two run home run in the bottom half of the inning to make it 9-5.

Falmouth scored their three runs in the first and last inning of the ball game. In the first inning, Austin Langworthy hit a solo shot to take the 1-0 lead. Langworthy wasn’t done, going ahead and driving in Maverick Handley and himself in the eighth with his second home run of the night to make it 3-0. A solid five inning start from Langworthy’s teammate at Florida, Tyler Dyson, helped keep a hot Wareham down, striking out eight Gatemen on the night.

The scoreless tie was broken up in the third when the Firebirds put up a three spot on the Braves with a couple of singles and a throwing error from Bourne’s shortstop. They attacked again in the fifth inning with a single and an error to make it 5-0. Orleans pitching held it down tonight, giving up Bourne’s only run in the top of the eighth on a fielder’s choice. Orleans answered with one of their own, erasing the Brave’s run and going on to win 6-2.

Falmouth jumped on the Sox early with an RBI single from Kyle Stowers in the first. But it was Y-D’s two run fifth inning proved to be crucial, taking the two run victory over Falmouth on Friday night. Quin Cotton doubled in Jonathan Deluca, and Brad Beesley drove in Quin Cotton on a single to center field. Austin Langworthy homered for the Commodores to answer in the bottom of the fifth.

It was Hyannis that struck first when Matthew Barefoot drove in William Holland on a single to right field in the first inning. The Hawks struck again in the fourth inning for two more runs on a Pedro Pages two run homer. Down 3-0, Bourne captured two in the fifth on an RBI triple from Ashton Bardzell, who was driven in the next at bat on a sacrifice fly from Chase Murray. Hyannis’ Tommy Jew blasted a two run home run in the seventh to finish the Braves.

It was a low scoring affair on Friday night in Harwich. Dominic Canzone scored in the first inning for the Whitecaps on a passed ball to take the 1-0 lead. Harwich responded with a run of their own on a Tanner Morris ground rule double, which brought in one run. After the second inning, both teams pitching silenced eachother’s offense. The game went to the ninth, but nobody could cross a run. It was the top of the eleventh where Whitecap Hunter Bishop advanced to first on a fielder’s choice which scored Jesse Franklin to score the winning run.

After Cotuit put up a run in the first frame of the ball game, Wareham lashed back with a four run first to go ahead 4-1. The Gatemen followed up the four run first with a two run second inning on a two run double off the bat of Pavin Parks to take a commanding 6-1 lead in the second. Cotuit’s bats were very quiet because of Wareham’s dominant pitching. Three Gatemen pitchers combined for thirteen strikeouts on the night.

Chatham’s pitchers Dan Hammer and Jack Conlon combined for the shut out, Hammer going six strong innings and Conlon cleaned up the last three innings. The offense was able to pick up a single run in the second, third, fourth, and sixth inning to win 4-0. Blake Sabol added a home run for the Anglers.

Wareham started off the scoring in the second when Skyler Hunter scored on a wild pitch. Isaac Collins scored on a Jeremy Ydens sacrifice fly to make it 2-0. But Zach Humphreys responded with a home run to leadoff the Kettleers half of the third. Down 2-1 in the bottom of the ninth inning, Cotuit’s Brady Smith drove in Ryan Reynolds on a single to tie the game up, where the game ultimately ended.

Harwich’s big second inning helped push their victorious effort, putting up four runs to take a 5-1 lead through two. A leadoff double from Brado Debo was followed up by another double by Ben Norman to score Debo. Back to back RBI singles from Tanner Morris and Matt Gorski scored the second and third run, and the fourth came on a wild pitch. The Whitecaps scored two in the eighth but could not keep the rally going, dropping the game 7-5

Y-D attacked Orleans early with a five spot in the first inning, including a two-run homer from Noah Campbell and a two-run single from Luke Waddell. The Firebirds did respond with two runs of their own from a Carter Aldrete RBI double, and later coming around to score from Matt Frazier’s single. The Firebirds went on to score one one run from the fourth to the seventh, and two in the eight. They could not catch the Sox, though, down 11-8 in the ninth and scoring no runs. Orleans was good for thirteen hits, Y-D for eleven.

Falmouth sprinkled in one run in the second, fourth, and the fifth, while shutting down the Hawks offensively. Up 3-0 in the ninth inning, Hyannis broke out for three runs to tie the game. Pedro Pages hit a leadoff double, and scored on a William Holland double. After a sacrifice fly brought in the second run, Adam Elliot doubled to center to bring Holland around to score. The Commodores were not interested in extra innings baseball, as Logan Davidson reached on a fielder’s choice, and was driven in by a Maverick Handley walk-off double.
