As we continue through our 2021 season, let’s pause and reflect where we were one year ago – our league had to shut down for the summer for the first time since World War II, our concerns were in the forefront for COVID, and worries abound that we would not be able to go forward with any plans for this year.  Now, with great vaccine news, positive number results showing a downturn of serious illnesses from COVID, and easing of restrictions on state and local levels, our league is able to resume (almost) normal activities.  We must remain vigilant and safe for the time being, but are excited that we can ‘Play Ball’!

Also, just wished to mention, with another MLB Draft completed, we have another 1st overall pick of a CCBL alum – congratulations Henry Davis (Bourne 2019)!!  This marks the fourth consecutive year that a Cape Leaguer was chosen 1st in the Draft.  We could not be prouder of Henry, and ALL of the 140 CCBL alumni chosen in the 2021 MLB Draft.  Overall, 23% of this year’s draft spent some time playing here on Cape Cod.  This is yet another example that ‘The Stars of Tomorrow Shine Tonight’ here, and we look forward to watching the current CCBL players continue to shine right now on our ten fields.

We hope that you can show your support for theses players, and their organizations when attending some games, by donating at the gates, taking some chances in the 50-50 raffles, and any other items that assist with operating each year.  Our teams rely on your donations, and sponsorships, to continue to provide the opportunity for the best collegiate players in the country to experience the fantastic atmosphere that is the Cape Cod Baseball League.  I hope to see you at the park soon!

All the best,
