Brewster Whitecaps 2, Orleans FIrebirds 1

Niko Spezial (Wake Forest) earned the win for the Whitecaps as they topped the Firebirds 2-1 at Stony Brook Field. Nolan Gaige (Albany St.) led the way for the Whitecaps with two hits and one RBI. Kyle Crockett (Virginia) tallied the loss on the night after giving up three hits and one earned run.

 

Bourne Braves 5, Cotuit Kettleers 1

Third basemen Colin Moran (UNC) led the Braves to their 5-1 victory over the Kettleers at Doran Park. Moran had two hits and two RBI’s on the night. Jeff Thompson (Louisville) earned the win after giving up two hits and no earned runs. The loss went to Cotuit’s Mike Ford (Princeton) who gave up three hits and one earned run.

 

Wareham Gatemen 3, Falmouth Commodores 1

The Gatemen earned a 3-1 win over the visiting Commodores Saturday night, as Jonathan Holder (Mississippi St.) earned the win on the mound. Cole Sturgeon (Louisville) has recorded a hit in all three games this season including two tonight. Benjamin Ballantine (Michigan) tallied the loss after giving up six hits and three earned runs.

 

Harwich Mariners 4, Hyannis Harbor Hawks 2

CK Irby (Samford) earned the win for the Mariners, as Harwich topped the Harbor Hawks 4-2 in extra innings at Whitehouse Field. Eric Jagielo (Notre Dame) had two hits and two RBI’s on the night including his first home run of the season.

 

Chatham Anglers 9, Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox 2

John Soldinger (Manhattan College) got the win for the Anglers as they beat the Red Sox 9-2. The Red Sox remained scoreless until the top of the sixth when Jake Schrader (Tampa) hit a two-run single. Chatham’s Aaron Brown (Pepperdine) had two hits, three RBI’s and scored two runs on the night. The loss went to Scott Squier (Hawaii) after he gave up six hits and four earned runs.
