Red Sox 2, Firebirds 1: Gio Brusa (Pacific) stole home on a wild pitch and Y-D walked off with a wild 13-inning victory over Orleans in Game 2 of the East finals. It marked the longest game of the 2015 season and forced a deciding Game 3 on Saturday, with the winner advancing to the Cape Cod Baseball League championship series against the Hyannis Harbor Hawks.

The Red Sox struck first in the fourth inning, breaking up a superb pitching duel between Y-D's Cory Malcom (Arkansas Little Rock) and Orleans' Tanner Tully (Ohio State) by scoring on a misplayed ball by Bobby Dalbec (Arizona).
The Firebirds' Kyle Lewis (Mercer) tied the score at 1 with his first home run of the postseason with one out in the seventh to chase Y-D's Malcom. It was the only blemish on an otherwise stellar night for Malcom, who struck out seven and gave up just four hits.
Ben Bowden (Vanderbilt) struck out five in five innings of scoreless relief for the Red Sox before giving way to Chad Hockin (Cal State-Fullerton), who picked up the win in a 1 2/3-inning appearance.
For the Firebirds, Chandler Blanchard (Pepperdine) pitched six hitless, scoreless innings, walking two and striking out six. He was replaced by Jared Carkuff (Austin Peay) in the bottom of the 13th.
Tommy Edman (Stanford) singled and Brusa walked to put two on for Y-D. Donnie Walton (Oklahoma State) loaded the bases on a single to right field, which set up the dramatic finish with Michael Donadio (St. John's) at the plate.
