Game One

Chatham (12-11-2): 1
Falmouth (11-13-1): 0

The only run in the ball game scored in the top of the first inning. Leadoff man John Rave worked a full count and won the at bat with a double. Adam Fogel drove Rave in on a single the next at bat. The pitching was phenomenal from Falmouth starter TJ Sikkema, though. He ended up finishing the ball game for the Commodores, striking out seven Anglers.

Game Two

Chatham was able to jump on Falmouth early, scoring five runs in the first two innings while keeping the Commodores quiet. A two-run first inning on back to back RBI singles from Kyle McCann and Drew Mendoza got things started. Blake Sabol hit a three run homer in the third to take the 5-0 lead. Chatham tacked on in the fourth and fifth, and surrendered two in the fifth to the Commodores.

Cotuit (12-11-1): 12

Orleans had the 7-5 through five innings, including two three-run innings coming in the third and the fifth. The third inning featured a two run shot from Carter aldrete and an RBI double from Justin Lavey. Philip Clarke joined the home run train, blasting a three-run homer in the fifth. Cotuit’s eighth inning proved to be the difference, scoring seven runs to take the 12-7 lead, ultimately the final score. The rally was started by a Ryan Reynolds solo home run to leadoff the inning. The rest of the runs scored on five hits aided by two errors.

Brewster played an all around great game allowing just a run in the ninth inning, but not before putting up two multi-run innings. After an RBI double from Jesse Franklin in the first and an RBI single from Dominic Canzone in the second, the Whitecaps tacked on four in the fourth and two in the fifth. Wareham’s lone run came from a Skyler Hunter double.

Y-D stole the victory from the Mariners on Tuesday night by way of walk off. This wouldn’t have been possible without a clutch solo home run from Reese Albert on a 3-2 count to tie the ball game. After a Noah Campbell single to advance pinch runner Luke Waddell to second base, Bradlee Beesley came up with the game winning hit on a single to right field. Both teams averaged twelve hits in the game, eleven for Harwich and thirteen for Y-D
