Brewster Whitecaps (1) vs. Harwich Mariners (4): Cameron Fisher, OF, University of North Carolina at Charlotte

An honorable mention goes out to Dylan Goldstein, who launched the league’s first postseason walk-off homer since at least 2007; but Cameron Fisher was absolutely dominant in Brewster’s sweep of Harwich. Fisher homered in both games of the series, launching a two-run homer to start the Whitecaps’ comeback in Game One, then teeing off in the top of the first to put Brewster up 3-0 early. Altogether, the UNC Charlotte product went 3-8 and drove in five of Brewster’s fourteen runs in their sweep of the Mariners.

Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (2) vs. Orleans Firebirds (3): Cole Carrigg, UTL, San Diego State

Cole Carrigg delivered everything for Y-D in their sweep of Orleans. The Aztec utilityman appeared at second base, center field, and as the pitcher for the Red Sox against the Firebirds, and was outstanding at each position. As a hitter, Carrigg went 4-9 with two RBI, three walks, and scored three times for Y-D. The San Diego State product also made an appearance on the mound, pitching an inning and two-thirds of perfect baseball to close out Game 2, inducing a flyout before striking out four straight Firebirds to complete the Y-D sweep.

Bourne Braves (1) vs. Falmouth Commodores (4): Bryce Eblin: SS/2B, University of Alabama

Bryce Eblin appeared in two of Bourne’s three games against Falmouth, making his impact felt in both matchups. Across his two appearances, the Bourne infielder went 5-9, driving in a run and scoring once himself. Eblin came up huge in Bourne’s Game Three victory, going three-for-five with an RBI and a run in the Bravos’ Game Three victory. Eblin went 2-4 with a two-bagger and a walk in his other appearance in the series, culminating in a total .556/.600/.667 slash line for the round.

Cotuit Kettleers (2) vs. Hyannis Harbor Hawks (3): Nolan Schanuel, 1B, Florida Atlantic

Nolan Schanuel demolished baseballs during the Harbor Hawks’ Round One win over Cotuit. The Hyannis first baseman went 4-9 in the series, delivering a long ball in his first at-bat both Hawk victories. Altogether, Schanuel went 4-9 with two homers and a double, driving in five and scoring three times in the Harbor Hawks’ series triumph. The Florida Atlantic product also demonstrated his incredible plate discipline during the series, posting a four-to-one strikeout-to-walk ratio.
