Help keep our list updated of MLB alums (900+)

More than 900 Major League Baseball players have also played in the Cape Cod Baseball League. The list includes Hall of Fame members and winners of just about every performance award that can be won by a MLB player ---- Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, Gold Glove, Silver Slugger, Cy Young Award.

The list will always remain a work in progress as young players continue to be promoted to MLB rosters, some just months after displaying their skills on the emerald green diamonds of the Cape League. Starting with David Aardsma (Falmouth 2002) and ending with Barry Zito (Wareham 1997 & 1998), the list literally runs from “A” to “Z.”

Did that flashy shortstop from St. John’s, who was so impressive turning double plays for the Cotuit Kettleers a few seasons back, ever make it to the majors? Or how about that big, hard-throwing lefty in Brewster whose fast ball often approached 100 mph on the scouts’ radar guns? Is he now performing on the big stage? Check this list to find out!

If you spot any errors or wish to add the name of a player we overlooked, please send your comments, additions or corrections to CCBL Special Projects Coordinator, Joe Sherman, [email protected].
