Brazelton Receives Tony C. Award
Former Harwich Mariners (’99) pitcher Dewon Brazelton of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays was honored with the Tony Conigliaro Award at the Boston Baseball Writers annual awards dinner in January. Tony returned to the lineup in 1969 and hit 20 home runs, slammed a career–high 36 HR in 1970, but retired due to impaired eyesight.
