Season Series: 4-2 Bourne

After each team swept the first round of the playoffs, the Bourne Braves and Hyannis Harbor Hawks will face off in the Western Division final for the 2nd year in a row. Last year, Bourne took down Hyannis to advance to the championship round, and the Harbor Hawks are looking for revenge in 2023.

Hyannis showed off on offense during their series against Falmouth. The Hawks scored 22 runs in 18 innings, and overcame a 6-2 deficit in game two. The biggest stars in the last series for Hyannis were Eric Snow (South Florida) and Trey Lipsey (Ohio State). Snow went 3-5 with three walks, a home run, a double, and four RBI. Lipsey went 3-5 throughout the series with four crucial RBI in Game Two. His two-run single tied the game in the 7th, and his 2-run double gave Hyannis the lead in the 10th.

The Bourne Braves also used late-inning heroics to sweep the Cotuit Kettleers. After trailing 4-1 entering the 8th inning, the Braves scored two runs in the 8th, one in the ninth to tie the game, and walked the game off in the 11th. Standout hitters in the series included Sam Petersen (Iowa) and Joshua Kuroda-Grauer (Rugters). Petersen went 5-9 with three runs scored in four RBI. His 8th inning triple and eventual run helped tie the game for the Braves in the 8th inning in Game Two. Kuroda-Grauer 5-10 with a home run, a triple, and three RBI. His 11th inning sac-fly won the game and the series for Bourne against Cotuit.
